Ambassadors Program

The Ambassadors Program is a six-week summer program designed to support pre-health students from historically marginalized backgrounds. The program aims to enhance their competitiveness for entering the health science professions by providing guidance on admissions, personal essay writing, interviews, financial aid, and test preparation.

Ambassador Pre-Health Saturday Academy

The Ambassador Pre-Health Saturday Academy offers a year-long Saturday program to support undergraduate and graduate students pursuing healthcare careers. The program provides academic skills-building services and career development including test preparation, mentorship, professional workshops and cultural competency training. The program runs for six hours on Saturdays from August to May.

Health Exploration Scholars (HES)

A professional development program for sophomore through senior years, aiming to prepare competitive candidates for UIC Health Sciences Colleges. The HES is intended to be a professional development program for UIC students with the intent of pursuing a career in the health professions. This program is structured to expose participants to their fellow students, members of the health science faculty, and staff. sciences. All UHP units play an active role in the HES program schedule to ensure that students receive the best benefit possible. The program’s objective is to develop strong competitive candidates for the UIC Health Sciences Colleges. The program is open to all upper-class undergraduates (sophomores- seniors), with a pre-health focus or former UHP Navigator participants.
