Scholarships for College of Nursing Students

UIC College of Nursing UCONSA
This award is for undergraduate nursing and pre-nursing students who have embraced the goals and values of UCONSA and actively demonstrate the mission of the UCONSA organization.  Awardees are also in good standing in their program of study at the University of Illinois at Chicago. Two $100 scholarships will be awarded for the 2012-2013 academic year.

Allied Health Care Professional Scholarship Program
To increase the number of nurse practitioners, physician assistants and certified nurse midwives practicing in areas of Illinois that have an insufficient number of primary care providers. Applicants must be accepted or enrolled in a school located in Illinois and accredited in its field. Students may be full or part time. Applicants must demonstrate financial need. Scholarship amount is $7,500 per academic year.

Nursing Education Scholarship Program
Provides assistance to individuals pursuing a certificate in practical nursing, an associate degree in nursing, a hospital-based nursing diploma, a baccalaureate degree in nursing or a graduate degree in nursing. Applicants must be a resident of Illinois for at least one year prior to application. Must be enrolled in or accepted to a nursing program in Illinois. Applicant must be in need of financial assistance based on applicant’s Student Aid Report.

Nursing Scholarship Program
Designed by the U.S. Government to help alleviate the shortage of nurses. Applicants must be U.S. citizens enrolled or accepted in a professional nursing degree program. Applicant must be free from any Federal judgment liens, existing service commitments, and not delinquent on a Federal debt.  Award includes tuition, eligible fees, books & supplies, and a monthly stipend.

Tylenol Future Care Scholarship
Ten – $10,000 and thirty – $5,000 scholarships available.
Must be pursuing a degree related to the health field and completed at least 1 year of school.

IOKDS Health Careers Scholarship Department
For students preparing for careers in medicine, dentistry, nursing, pharmacy, physical or occupational therapy. Applicants must be a U.S. or Canadian citizen and enrolled full-time in an accredited institution. Nursing students must complete their first year to apply. Degree seeking M.D. or D.M.D. students must be in their second year to apply.  Scholarship amount is $1,000.

UIC College of Nursing Scholarships
Over 25 Scholarships for Undergraduate and Graduate Nursing Students are available to UIC students. Scholarships are awarded based on academic achievement and financial need. Award amount is determined by each individual scholarship.
