Celebrating 40 Years of Success Heading link
On Saturday, September 22, 2018, the UIC-UHP Celebrated 40 Years of providing and improving the access to education for underrepresented students interested in pursuing healthcare careers and producing minority health practitioners. It was a most auspicious occasion, where 600 Alumni, Students, Faculty, Staff, and Friends of UHP celebrated the accomplishments and made a commitment to continue to carry the torch to move the mission of UHP forward. Over the last 40 years, the Urban Health Program has contributed to the graduation of several thousand health professionals of African American, Latinx, and Native American descent. More so than any other institution of higher learning, only falling third to Howard and Meharry Universities. The 40th Anniversary was truly a celebration of our accomplishments and the positive impact we have had on health care. The program has distinguished alumni who have and are making significant contributions to the health care communities. If you were unable to attend, you can still participate by contributing to the UHP mission by way of donation please click here and select the Urban Health Program Fund under the annual fund’s tab.
